We had a very enjoyable day with Cassie and Mike and their fun bridal party. After a lovely ceremony at St. Mary’s Church, we took pictures on the grounds of Western Reserve Academy. Cassie wore her mother’s veil, and followed a family tradition with a “cake pull” (each of Cassie’s single friends pulled a charm from the cake) at the reception. The reception was held at the Twinsburg Hilton Garden Inn.
Sara and Jim wrote letters to each of their parents and shared those during the ceremony with the family and friends who were present. This added a nice, personalized touch to their ceremony. We then took pictures outside at the beautiful Firestone Country Club. During the reception, Sara and Jim were up for sneaking away for a few last minute pictures outside. It’s always nice when the bride and groom are willing to take a break from the reception and pose for a few evening portraits. The light isn’t as harsh and better yet, with summer weddings, it’s cooler outside!
Ashley and Matt were married in Solon and held their reception at Signature of Solon. Ashley’s grandma was in the hospital and couldn’t attend the ceremony, so what better idea than to make a pit stop at the hospital to visit grandma on their wedding day? Having lost my grandpa a few months ago, this definitely struck a chord with me and it was such a thoughtful thing for Ashley and Matt to do on their wedding day. After that we went to the Cleveland Browns Stadium. Now, if you must know, I am not a football fan, at all. But, I have to admit, it was a pretty cool experience to be inside the stadium and also the team locker room. Ashley and Matt had a really fun reception that featured a family member’s live band and a performance by Matt as well. Best wishes to both of you!
