There are a few things we photographers seem to gravitate to for me it’s old barns and old cars. I must admit I am a recovering “put the couple on railroad track” photographer. Of course I always prefer that the couple influences the location, bringing some of their personality to the shoot too. But when left up to me I love to try out new locations.
The first image was one of those locations that did not exactly work out as I planned but I think we got a few useable images. For this shoot there was no casual warm up, I took Trip and Colleen right to the location and went for it. What you can’t see is all the tractors and backhoes as a new neighborhood is being built. I was really inspired by the huge rock ledge and wanted to use it before it became someones back yard. They were great sports about it all. After that they were pretty much up for anything, so why not take them to the laundromat? We had a great time and got some great images. I can’t wait for the wedding.
Check out some of the great fall engagement photos I got of Brandon and Melissa at Stan Hywet.
I really enjoy shooting this family. I have also photographed two of the girls high school senior pictures. I was really excited when Danielle and I worked together to choose one of the images as a huge canvas they proudly display in their home. we also created a few collages. I have also gotten to photograph two of the girls senior portraits, two down three to go.
